Two Brewers

Could be SO much better. Lovely location, dreadful service! As a Windsor resident I took some visiting friends here for Sunday lunch with their 6 month old daughter. As it was a nice day and we had an infant we sat outside. Unfortunately as our food arrived the heavens opened. Landlord absolutely refused us inside to take refuge (despite being plenty of room) to finish our food, and we found outselves in the rather bizarre situation of eating our roasts in a downpour with other refugees with crying children who had found themselves in the same unfortunate position. Never been treated with such outright contempt by a so called publican, all the more puzzling when locals were free to come and go with their dogs. Not suprisingly I will be boycotting this pub from now on and recommending my friends do the same. I’m no great fan of hords of children in a pub but there are times when the rule book should be discarded and common sense be applied. This was one of those situations. Sadly the jobsworth of a landlord clearly just banks on the pubs fortunate location with its’ steady stream of tourists and feels it acceptable to treat his clientele like this. Interesting to see some of the other comments here have had similar experiences. Perhaps the brewery should take note!
