We booked for a family Sunday Lunch three adults and two children
The tone was set as soon as we arrived, as a previous group were refusing to
pay for their meal.
The restaurant did not cater for children, which is quite amazing when compared with other restaurants in the area , all of which cater for children very well.
The staff were very rude and basically refused our request for just basic items such as other vegetables or even roast potatoes.
When we were asked what we thought of the meal or the service the waitress just walked off in mid sentence of our complaint.
The quality of the food and presentation were of very poor quality.
We would recommend that anybody in search of a good or even a reasonable meal to give the Old Pheasant in Glaston a very wide berth indeed

Having moved into the area we were fortunate to come across the Pheasant. Lets just say we cannot keep away!
You are always met with a warm welcome by staff and Managers alike. We have had many meals at the Pheasant and they have been excellent. Fresh produce and excellent meat and very reasonable prices.
The Italian evening is superb value for money and you wont leave disappointed and totally full.
The service is very attentive but not intrusive which makes the experience even better. Definately worth a try.

Stopped for lunch today (26/04/2010) Good beer (Elgood's Black Dog), and friendly barman, but poor food. The game pie was a small oblong dish containing gravy with a few bits of meat and mushroom floating in it, with bad puff pastry on top (cooked separately?). Lukewarm vegetables completed a dismal dish. We didn't bother to stop for dessert...
