I'm pleased to see the Jug Inn on the good pub guide, well deserved, a very pleasant little pub with 4 well kept real ales and an excellent menu of traditional and more contemporary food, all lovingly created from real ingredients. The new owners have made some really positive changes, not least their dedication to stocking some famous and not so famous ales from around the UK. Definitely worth a visit whether eating or drinking. A couple of things worth pointing out, the location on the map to the left is wrong, the jug inn is further towards the a19 the map shows it being in a location actually occupied by the local church. secondly, the pub actually has three rooms, one of which is a dedicated restaurant room.

We came a cross this pub whilst we were driving around the area. I don't normally post comments on the internet but this service and the food was absolutly outstanding, I've eaten in some excellen restaurants and they don't even hold a candle to the food that this place is producing! Two gents have just taken over and they are very friendly and both meals were exactly how we wanted them and they were absolutly beautiful!
