Hello my name is philip and I am the tenant at the Greenman Hurst.
As the previous head chef at the Green Man of four years and employee of 12 years i am very happy to say the pub is now moving in a very positive dirrection. With all the new changes recently made its little wonder why we have already taken 1200 christmas bookings excluding walk in customers between the 3rd and 23rd of december.
To address a comment I saw regarding the new changes plans were implimented as of day one!
The pub is now open all day saturdays and sundays serving food all day. Staff memebers now ware new smart uniforms and we now offer take-a-way fish & chips seven days a week.
We recently also had an area of our car park fenced off to restrict the view of the grundon bin area. New staff have been brought in as well as a new main menu.
Also heading in our own direction we have booked up a live 5 peice band and hog roast for new years evening.
Just to make life a little easier we now have extra specials boards hanging, and our weekend specials are uploaded to our website midweek ahead of the wekend.
These are just a few of many new changes brought about since taking over in July, and rest assured there are many more to come!
Please feel free to pop in and pay us a visit!

Went there for lunch today. They are doing the sausage baguette but it is not on the menu. This time it was more expensive. After a chat with the owners I think I was undercharged last time. It was good however. The plan to leave things as they are for now but are open all day Saturday.
The menu will be changed more 'dramatically' after Sept. It will be interesting to see what happens. I think it is a good lucky dip entry but I think the food ( not the baguette) lets them down a bit. But it is a fine pub.

Changed hands two weeks ago. The two chefs run it. We were there the other day nothing has changed so far.

Someone who we know who works there said they had not been told of any forthcoming changes.

Fantastic sausage baguette with chips included. Very tasty good sized portion. With a 1/2 pints of orange squash it came to 4.95. You can't say fairer than that!

We walked their Saturday night. My favourite the sausage baguette has returned on the menu and they also do reasonably priced sandwiches. Beer excellent as always.
