Fishers Pond

I had a lovely meal here last week, the atmosphere was gorgeous with the open fires and friendly staff who really went above and beyond. After dinner we went and sat out on the decking under the stars and enjoyed a coffee whilst looking out over the lake, a perfect end to a wonderful evening!

On our way to Marwell Hotel we stoped at the Fisher's pond for lunch. We found a table for two looking out on the lake, lovely we thought. We then orderd food! waitress was ok. 15 min wait then our food arrived apart from pie(nice) the rest was the left over's from previous plates chip's were dark lifeless and SALTED ! peas like bullets and carrots that looked like they had been steamed for a week. Only time we went back was for a lovely pint of Aspell's Cider :).

jUST COME BACK FROM A "MEAL" IF YOU CAN CALL IT THAT NO PROBLEMS WITH DRINKS OR STARTERS OR WAITRESESS THE MAIN COURSE TOOK 1HOUR AND HALF TO ARRIVE AND A LOT OF COMPLAINTS IT THEN ARRIVED COLD UNDERCOOKED AND VEG HARD CHIPS WERE THE DREGGS OF THE TRAY WE THEN SAID WE WOULD TRY PUDDINGS 35 MINS LATER WE WALKED OUT AND PAID FOR JUST DRINKS DO NOT BOTHER 2ND TIME BEEN AND 2ND TIME FOOD AND SERVICE FROM THE MANAGER WAS LOUSY !! IF YOU WANT A GOOD PUB DOG AND CROOK AT BRAMBRIDGE

I booked this location for a party of six, for lunch on 22 Oct.
Having made the reservation I then visited the website for this Public House, and, to be honest I was in two minds whether to cancel or take a chance. The previous comment , September 2010, was quite damning. I considered the whys and wherefores and thought why is it that the car park is always full. The reservation would stand, I, on behalf of my friends, would take a chance.

Unfortunately, on the day, our party was reduced to 5. The table we were allocated must have been "the best in the restaurant", we had a wonderful view of the lake.

The number of diners, hardly a table vacant, certainly was a pleasant sight, considering what may have been expected. The food arrived, a bit of a wait, but we were in no hurry, the lake and the birds were an enjoyable pastime. Everyone of the party, after I explained my expectations, were quite amazed and each and everyone said their meals were excellent.

Kelly was our table lady who was most attentive and courteous. I did explain to her my earlier concerns and I asked her to bring the matter to the attention of her Manager.

Without a doubt, we all agreed, we will certainly be visiting the Fishers Pond again for one of our regular group lunches.

lovely decor,but the worst food I've ever had the nerve to be served.Tempura batter prawns were raw-still blue in colour throughout.Main course-Chicken and bacon salad with avocado.4 small strips of chicken,soggy streaky bacon,thrown together on a plate,searched through the debris on my plate searching for avocado and found a small ball of brown mush-literally at the bottom-the so called avocado!It was revolting considering it cost £10.00 the chef had a nerve to even put it on a plate never mind send it out to customers.Neadless to say I was not the only unhappy customer that night over this dish according to the waitress.I shall never eat there again for sure.
