Cutty Sark, Greenwich, London, SE10 9PD – The Good Pub Guide

Lucky Dip

Smashing Thames views from early 19th-c tavern, genuinely unspoilt old-fashioned bar, dark flagstones, simple furnishings, open fires, narrow openings to tiny side snugs, upstairs room (reached by winding staircase) with ship-deck-feel and prized seat in big bow window, up to four changing ales, organic wines, malt whiskies, all-day bar food; piped music; children and dogs welcome, busy riverside terrace across narrow cobbled lane, limited parking (but free if you get a space)

One of the hidden gems of Greenwich. One of the only 2 pubs in Greenwich with outside seating next to the river, this is off the beaten path and so does not suffer from being swamped by tourists like the better known Trafalgar, though very popular with the locals. Characterful interior, cheerful staff and reasonable (if simplistic) food. Good beer selection and normally 4 or 5 real ales. Worth the extra walk from central Greenwich.
