Oli & Sam Knott took over The Scarlett as of July 2010, which is truly a hidden gem in the Surrey Hills Countryside. We are a traditional, child-friendly, 16th Century country pub with a difference.

This pub is not in the guide but new management have taken it over in the last couple of years and it is now very good. It is a charming, unspoilt country pub in peaceful surroundings. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is good. We tried their weekday lunchtime/early evening offer of two courses for £7 and did not regret it. These offers are not always the bargain they sound but this was. Starters of smoked salmon salad and vegetable soup followed by beef and onion pie (clearly homemade) with mash and hake with new potatos, baby tomatos and baby spinach were all excellent. Grab this offer while it lasts.
