The pub is cosy and traditional and dates back hundreds of years. A wonderful quintessentially English country pub with a lovely sun-trap beer garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with excellent food and a great selection of drinks. An absolute gem!

This pub and restaurant is a real gem nestled in a beautiful north Oxfordshire village that oozes yesteryear England at its very best. You could imagine Miss Marple rolling up to The Rose and Crown in her Morris Minor. This pub has real character, staff who welcome you, excellent food and a great beer garden when the weather is good. For a day out in the country this is a good focal point - Edge Hill, Upton House and many excellent walks are close at hand. For a 'day out' from Birmingham, The Black Country and many other busy urban locations, The Rose and Crown will help charge the batteries.
Visited the Rose and Crown this lunchtime for Sunday lunch, One of the best home cooked lunches I have had out, with a lovely selection of puddings, just like going home,. the quality of the food was excellent and service was very friendly. If you are looking for a beautiful old english pub with excellent food and a warm welcome this pub is a must.
This is such a gem of a pub. Good selection of well-kept guest beers, sun-trap of a beer garden, fantastic friendly ambience and absolutely delicious reasonably priced food. dogs and children welcomed, friendly locals. What more could you want?
