Perhaps the last review was written prior to the current owners' license. I have over the last week been staying near Chagford, and popped into this wonderful pub several times. The owners, Colin and Fran, are utterly charming and welcoming, as are the barstaff. There is a lovely selection of cask ales, and the food is exceptionally good, an imaginative menu, reasonably priced, and big helpings! The rear walled garden has been very tastefully furnished with attractive benches and tables, and there is a comfortable warm smoking area. The locals are very friendly and interesting people; you are bound to make some new friends!
