Worth a Visit

Friendly 18th-c pub reopened in 2013 after lengthy closure; enjoyable food from sandwiches and traditional choices up, five changing mainly local ales (plans for own microbrewery) and several wines by the glass, pubby furniture and open fire in airy main bar, cosier side areas and conservatory-style extension with big arches, small tap room with built-in wall benches on red tiles, old wooden ham rack hanging from ceiling, framed Rupert Brooke poem about the pub (he used to drink here) and broad inglenook, games room; occasional background music, free wi-fi; children, dogs and muddy walkers welcome, big garden with heated deck, play area and barbecue, open all day

Great news! The Pink & Lily will be opening again on July 5th 2013. Bought by a local family so free of tie, the Pink is going back to its roots as a friendly quality local serving great beer, great food and an open door policy - muddy boots, muddy families, muddy cyclists and muddy (well behaved!) dogs all welcome. Having had a facelift but retaining all the character of the original historic building, the Pink will be offering a great selection of beer including Doombar and Deuchars as well as guest ales and a stunning new menu. We look forward to seeing you soon!
