An excellent village pub, good beers, friendly atmosphere with an open log fire.

The food is good honest home cooked pub food, and decent portions. ......we only visit a few times a year when in the area but thoroughly look forward to our time here.
We visited on 02 March 13 and found the bar to be very cosy on such a chilly evening; the restaurant was less so but was pleasant enough and allowed plenty of room to move around. The staff were courteous and efficient without rushing us. The Rump and Ribeye steaks were very good. We met some interesting people and had a very pleasant evening. What more could we ask for.
Finally a country pub, which isn't from a major chain. Warm friendly atmosphere, excellent pub food for all. Great cask beers with proper open wood fires.
The food in this place is foul! I was almost sick and i'm not a fussy eater, It's nice looking outside but inside it looks like a bad community centre, Carpets are horrible and filthy dirty, Cats and Dogs in the dining area....

I'm sure the only reason this pub is still going is because it's the only one in the village!! It was just horrible and I will definately not be going back!!!! Feeling poorly just thinking about it! 0.5 stars!
