Idyllically placed creekside pub with seats on heated terrace, light and airy long narrow bar with areas leading off, flagstones and wood flooring, blue and white décor, modern yacht and heron paintings on wood-planked walls, brass nautical items, stuffed heron in cabinet, gas-effect coal fires, St Austell beers, enjoyable often interesting food; piped music, parking difficult in high season; children welcome, open all day in summer

Visited at lunch time. On arrival there was no greeting, service was slow with only one bar staff, at times there were four or five people waiting to be served. Food was poor -fillet of fish was full of bones. Plates cold.
In all a disappointing visit which will not be repeated.

Always had a good meal here. Children have also been welcome
