Where do I start? Tables far too narrow to eat on, chairs uncomfortable, decor dreadful. Our meal took over half an hour to arrive and when we complained we were told that they had a big party in, they did, about 18 people who were so loud you couldn't hear yourself think never mind have a conversation. We pointed out that if they had said they were going to be too busy to serve us we would have gone elsewhere, at which point I was told that it was my fault for choosing a meal which took a while to cook, it wasn't particularly nice either.

Where do i start..... We arive at 5 for our booked meal of 15 they came up to us and told us they were just sorting out the table so we sat in the waiting area..... half an hour later we were still sat there and someone came and told us the table was ready. As we arived to the table we were all cramped in and hardly had any room to move. we all orded our food and it came out pretty fast so cant really complain about that but then it happend the waitress poured a pint of ice cold diet coke with half of it filled of ice over my grandma!!!! she was sopping wet and feezing cold and obviously had no clothes to change in to!! the service is really rubbish! the waitresses shouted your order to you and all they did was knock 20 pounds of the bill for soaking my grandma!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PUB!!!!!

Booked a table at 7.00 pm New Years Eve , unfortunately we were 10 mins late , were told that you were given an allocation and not a table , all the 7pm people had been allocated first and we would have to sit upstairs , I protested and we were given a table downstairs till 9pm as this ' table was then booked ' , We looked around and there were plenty of tables around , the food was fine plenty for the kids off their menu . At 9pm we were asked to move to another table if we wanted a sweet , we didnt bother we left .
Therefore when booking ask where you will be sat in order not to be dissapointed , we were not made aware of their booking policy , the decs were good but seemed to be lacking on previous years , the staff appeared as if they would rather be somewhere else

Big disappointment after a long walk. Less than average food, only theakston hand - pulled which isn't a great choice considering it is a free house. Don't bother bringing a dog as their interpretation of dog-friendly means sitting outside in a bleak covered area. This is clearly a smoking area and incorporates the childrens play area. Not ideal!
