What they say
The Green Man is a community owned traditional British pub in Thriplow, Cambridgeshire. Set in idyllic surrounds in rural south Cambridgeshire, this charming pub has seen some change in the last few months. But now, after some uncertainty, a new lease of life has come into it in the form of young new landlord hoping to make the “local”, really local once more.

As a much valued community asset, the Green Man was sold to the village to be managed by a newly started village company.

Sam Adams, previously from the Hole in the Wall in Great Wilbraham and Fox and Hounds in Barley, is the new landlord for the pub - after being the manager for the previous tenants. He has a real passion for local cask ale and locally produced food way beyond his 24 years that will ensure a good time is had by all.

Worth a Visit

This simply furnished unpretentious place has been bought by the village and new licensees installed (same people who run the Hole in the Wall at Little Wilbraham); it's unclear as we go to press what changes will be made - so news please; has closed Sun evening, Mon

Very friendly pub but has seen better days. We had our lunch (food was good) on a table on the green - lots of rubbish from the night before under the tables and benches. Plastic tablecloths badly tacked onto the ageing picnic benches. Everything looked like it could do with a good clean.

A friendly place thanks to gregarious bar staff and Mary the landlady. We enjoyed well kept beers and dinner by the fireside. Sunday lunch also a hit with all ages. Lovely walks nearby too.
