The Griffin Inn

Having spotted the road side signs we trekked into the country and stopped for lunch here today at about 10 to 2, thinking we would be just in time. We were greeted with a hurry up to order quickly which should have been the warning. 3 more groups of customers arrived while we waited for our food order, all after 2pm and all were served.
The food was what it said on the can but didn't think you could get a cheese sandwich wrong but not fresh bread and canteen style, the steak bap was strips of beef with half cooked onions and the chips were cooked in old oil, sad to say the trek was not worth it and neither was the cost. Young ladies who served were pleasant enough though and it is a beautiful setting, so much potential...........
