The Dog & Partridge dates back to the very early 16th century and in it's lifetime has been a farmhouse, a coaching inn known as the Green Man in the 17th century and later as the Cliviger Arms. The Inn has been run by the Barr family for over half a century and several alterations to the building have taken place whilst retaining it's old world charm. The cosy and tastefully decorated dining room is used every day for table d'hote luncheon and à la carte dinner. Bar meals are also available lunchtimes Tuesday to Saturday. Specialities of the house are delicious crispy roast duckling, local game in season, fresh fish dishes, steaks and mouth watering home-made desserts. The bar provides Tetley's traditional ales, Black Sheep bitter, a good range of malt whiskies and an extensive wine list.
