Worth a Visit

Cosy carpeted bar in traditional pub with big woodburner, straightforward furnishings, some wood panelling, decorative china and country prints, five changing ales such Castle Rock, Batemans and Theakstons, quite a range of bar food in neatly laid dining areas; background music; no dogs inside; children welcome, near interesting Saxon minster church, open all day Sun till 8.30pm, closed Mon lunchtime

We had a drink here but never came back for dinner. Lovely big place but needs people inside it else it is a bit like a airport lounge. but very good service and reasonably priced drinks. The menu looked interesting and I think it deserves a lucky dip entry.
