Appealingly modernised waterside dining pub with friendly efficient staff, good home-made food all day, linked but distinct areas with lots of pictures and variously sized tables, big candles, good log fires, Banks's, Marstons and guests, splendid range of wines by the glass and of spirits, good coffees; children welcome, dogs in bar, crazy-paved terrace above lawn to River Dee, play area, open all day

As big a fan of the Guide as I am, the listing of this pub as a mere lucky dip is a travesty. It is easily one of the better pubs in all of Wales and is of the same standard as its fellow pubs in the Brunning and Price group, all of which are main entries.

Excellent food, wine and beer all of which change regularly and never fail to impress. I cant think of many better places to be when the sun is out then on the banks here by the river with an interesting new local beer in hand, awaiting a locally sourced quality meal.

Just a shame we moved south.
