Smart dining pub with small bar, stylish restaurant rooms and imaginative food
Good Pub Guide Recommended
Much emphasis is placed on the first class food in this stylish and friendly fenland village pub but there's a warm welcome for those just wanting a chat and a pint, too. The beamed bar has seats against the counter where they serve Greene King Abbot and Woodfordes Wherry on handpump, 12 wines and champagne by the glass and a wide range of spirits. There are several high chairs around equally high tables and an open fire. The smart, linked, carpeted dining rooms and conservatory have high-backed cream or black dining chairs around white-clothed tables, and throughout there's bare brick here and there and good lighting; service is helpful and courteous. The back terrace and fenced-off garden have plenty of seats and tables.
