Popular pub in picturesque village, good food from sandwiches to restaurant dishes (booking recommended), helpful friendly service even when busy, well kept Flowers, Timothy Taylors and Wadworths, Thatcher's cider, well priced wines, several dining areas, beams and bric-a-brac, hunting prints, cosy back snug, chatty locals; walkers and dogs welcome, wheelchair access

This pub deserves more reports! Returned with granddaughter for a pub Sunday lunch after a very enjoyable walk. Pub very busy with locals, walkers and visitors. Good choice of real ales and a good variety of food available from jacket potatoes and baguettes to full meals. Prompt, efficient and friendly service. Deceptively spacious inside with a welcome wood burner plus tables on lawn outside awaiting warmer weather.

Friendly service in this characterful village pub. Several eating areas plus bar area. Couple of real ales. Good choice of bar food.
