Visited The Bridge Inn, Shawford on Saturday evening. We had booked on line, which was nice and easy! Arrived and got seated straight away, table 33. The Drinks ordered, nice selection of beers and wines were available. Orders for food were taken efficiently. Starters arrived, the Fisherman's Platter for sharing was huge portion and great tasting! After 40mins of waiting for the next course, we prompted our waiter and food arrived within a few minutes. 2 of the main courses were steaks. These were lovely but chips were luke warm, however this was sorted when brought to the attention of the waiter. The vegetarian pie was delicious and the venison rib chop and stew was glorious. Puddings were delicious and coffees nice and hot! Other than the delay with our msin courses, the evening was great.

We will definitely be coming back! Still lots of choice on the menu to try!
Nice family pub. stopped for lunch on way down to Cornwall on motorbike. Very friendly. Food was ok, filling but expensive for portion sizes
We read all the bad comments about this place but couldn't have been more pleased. The food was great (all of us had steak) and the service couldn't be faulted. Waiters were pleasant, helpful and there on time - no waiting at all. We will certainly be back and so should you !!
Most disappointing meal out for years! Roast dinners advertised "with all the trimmings" came almost cold without apple sauce, horseradish sauce, yorkshire puddings and gravy! Most expensive too at £12.75. Letter sent to Manager.... didn't even bother to reply. Will not be going here again.
