Worth a Visit

Busy split-level lived-in pub with good choice of real ales, friendly helpful staff, good generous fresh food from sandwiches to steaks, fair prices, sports memorabilia, separate upstairs dining room, lower area with pool; handy for steam railway

Had two fantastic visits to this very friendly community pub, whilst on a long weekend in the Lakes.
Thwaites beer was on - and kept very well.
Food - home cooked and fantastic - none of your noncey gastro-pub muck, good honest food, well cooked, good portions, good price and service that is sadly lacking in a lot of places these days.

The only down-side is that the Anglers isn't my local :-(
