The Thatchers Arms is a traditional country pub with a great selection of local Real Ale. Adnams & Crouch Vale are available permanently, with regularly changing guest ales predominantly from local microbreweries. There is also a large selection of bottled World Beers, Malt Whisky & Gin.
Fresh locally sourced food is prepared by Chef of the Year finalist (Publican Awards 2009) Mick Illingworth. Food is a mix of traditional pub & British favourites with more adventurous dishes including seasonal game adorning the daily changing specials boards.
The pub boasts some of the best views in Essex over the Stour Valley and the large Beer Garden is ideal for both children & dogs. Everybody is welcome at The Thatchers, walkers, drinkers & diners, although it is best to book for meals, especially the traditional Sunday Roasts!
