We always visit when we are in the area - an excellent foody pub in a picturesque location.

Excellent location and very efficient service. Very busy when we called on a weekday lunchtime, but plenty of young energetic staff ment that this was not a problem. Food not cheap, but on a par for the area, but very good.

I endorse the above comments but should add that we called for lunch on a Monday and two of our party had undercooked food which we should have sent back really.Fish was fine though.
I hope this is not typical.
Otherwise very pleasant place to drink and eat.

Grilled sardines at the end of the jetty with a good pint on a warm August afternoon was idyllic.

We loved the feel of this pub. It has such a great feel. We went at lunchtime with barely anyone else in there but it still had atmosphere. A proper pub. Friendly welcome and well-kept beer. We didn't eat but the menu specials menu looked tempting.
