Using home-grown vegetables and other local organic produce, the first-rate food includes lunchtime filled baguettes, mackerel and poached rhubarb tart, burger with triple cooked chips and caramelised onion jam, beer-battered fish with gribiche sauce, slow-roasted pork shoulder with apple sauce and crackling, pigeon breast with parsnip purée and a fish dish of the day.
