What they say
One of the best restaurants in North West England serving a wide variety of freshly prepared, quality local produce, which includes some of the world’s finest dry aged steak from our own herd of prize winning Charolais cattle.

Our fantastic whisky bar is one of the best stocked bars in the world, with over 500 Scottish single malt whiskies, all available as a dram or bottle from our in house shop. If whisky is not for you we have a fine selection of award winning real ales and lagers always on tap.

In addition, our wine list features a broad range of wines to suit any taste or budget. The wines are sourced from around the new world with a strong Australian influence and most are available by the glass. We also boast an extensive range of champagne befitting any celebratory toast.

More a restaurant than a pub, but it does retain a pubby feel. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is good but not exceptional, but the portions are absolutely huge, so take a doggy bag or two! It tends to be full most of the time, so it may be worth booking at peak times.
