The best pub in the world. Full stop.

What a wonderful find! A trip down memory lane to (if truth be told) a little before I was born....I am not sure that every pub should be like this one but I am so glad that places like this have survived. You can't copy or recreate this feel even if some of the big boys try. Didn't have time to eat but the beer was great and will be back.

An outstanding pub which attracts walkers, bikers, parents with young children and dogs. Gets very crowded but no one seems to mind and one is welcomed in to share a table if necessary. Garden is well kept and always clean. Great beer and fresh rolls with pate, cheese or soup.

Just one of the best places on the planet. Great beer, excellent straight-forward food (with mercifully little choice) and a garden in which to enjoy it all. It also strangely seems to be able to expand to cope with the crowds even on the most sunny summer Sunday.
