Kent Brewery
Hops and Aspirations – Tales of Modern Brewing
Paul Herbert is a Director of Kent Brewery, which will begin brewing later this year. Following a career in digital media publishing and marketing, interspersed with periods of archaeological site supervision and museum / heritage management, and with an education in archaeology and brewing, Paul brings a diversity of skills to the new Kent Brewery.
Paul takes immense inspiration from the modern brewery culture: ‘There is a vibrant sense of optimism in the brewery sector that I haven’t felt since the early days of digital media. Brewers and enthusiasts are entering the industry without any preconceptions of where the limits lie. Everything is valid and everything is up for grabs. Following progressive brewery legislation in the US and UK, there has been an explosion of new ideas, exciting new tastes and radical new brands. It is a massively exciting time for innovation in the industry, and Kent Brewery aims to push the boundaries of brewing to their absolute limits’.
This blog will follow the creation and development of Kent Brewery as well as look at some of the stories behind the people and breweries that are introducing exciting new styles and tastes to the beer in our local pubs.
