Kristy McCready
BitterSweet Partnership
I’m Kristy McCready from BitterSweet Partnership, which is an initiative set up by Molson Coors to address the fact that women in the UK have been ignored by the beer industry. As a woman who has worked in the industry for over 15 years, including 8 of those behind the bar, it’s a subject I’m very passionate about, as I’m sure you’ll find out soon!
I’ve worked at Molson Coors for almost 9 years in various guises and previously was manager for a small chain of independent bars in the Midlands. But my career started when I went to work as a pub cook to save some money for University. A few months later they let me work behind the bar and I loved it so much I stayed and never looked back!
I’d love to see beer recognised as a sophisticated, enjoyable and responsible choice for women. Whether you agree or disagree with me, please leave a comment - I’d love to know your thoughts!
