Happy New Year from Renaissance Pubs

January 2011 here we come. I always enjoy the start of a new year as business plans and ideas come to fruition. Funnily enough January can be a very busy month. Although the early part of the week can be quiet, the weekends are still very busy in South West London as friends catch up after a Christmas spent with families.

This is an incredibly strong offer and is the only one that we will be running throughout January. Simplicity is key for an offer to be successful.

In terms of our food offering this will be kept simple too. Obviously salads and healthier options will feature but with the cold and dark evenings people crave comfort food. The classics such as fish and chips, steaks, burgers and pies are all huge sellers in January.

We’ll also be focusing on additional revenue avenues in January by hosting our popular wine tasting evenings in association with suppliers. We charge £10 per head for canapés and wine. The price point really works for us as we look to sell around 100 tickets. Customers can also enjoy some delicious wine, great food with friends without breaking the bank.

Let's hope the VAT rise and food inflation do not take the steam out of what I hope will be a very good year.
