Tom, Mark and Nick

Owners of Renaissance Pubs

We are Tom Peake, Mark Reynolds and Nick Fox from Renaissance Pubs.

In 2002, we started transforming forgotten venues to create pubs with a focus on fresh, seasonal produce, stunning design and excellent service. Our first traditional tavern was The Abbeville in Abbeville Village, Clapham. This was followed by The White Hart in Kennington – soon to become The Tommyfield - then The Stonhouse just off Clapham High Street, The Bolingbroke Pub and Dining Room in Battersea and The Avalon in Clapham, whose garden has already been tipped as the best spot in the capital by Time Out magazine.

So what sparked our passion for pubs? Straight after university, Tom worked at Cliveden House hotel in Berkshire and Le Toiny in St. Barths, cementing his love for the industry. Tom’s role is to look after the design element of the business, whilst also overseeing PR and marketing.

Mark’s enthusiasm for restaurants started at an early age, working his way up from pot washer to management at his parent’s restaurant, followed by positions at Putney Bridge Restaurant and Party Ingredients (outside catering). Mark runs the operations side of the company.

Nick’s background in finance, property and entertainment means he perfectly suited to managing the accounts and company administration for the group. He’s also our social media expert.

We’re looking forward to sharing our thoughts and any new developments going on in the pub world. Feel free to add your comments to any of our blogs!
