Liz Hore
Licensee of the Victoria Inn
Hi, my name is Liz Sheldon and I am the landlady of the Victoria Inn, Salcombe. My husband, Tim Hore, and I have run the pub for just over a year now. It’s a fantastic pub from the Cornish St Austell group and in a fantastic seaside town – very dependant on visitors, but with a growing ‘regulars’ trade. This is a late change of career for me, as I kept my 20 year career in Local Government (and a brief but awful flirtation with the NHS!) very separate from Tim when we first met 5 years ago. It’s been an eye opening experience moving from a solid Local Authority career with all the backup of HR, Legal dept’s etc to having to know these things myself and implement them.
I am absolutely passionate about great customer service, putting the customer first and ensuring that staff are happy, well trained and enjoy their work as much as I do! I hope you will enjoy reading my ramblings as much as I enjoy writing them.
