Bardsea Leisure Park, Ulverston

Situated on the beautiful Furness peninsula near the southern Lake District, in the picturesque market town of Ulverston. The tranquil campsite is sheltered within a former quarry, which is extensively landscaped and acts as a suntrap. The site offers a high-standard holiday park for a variety of visitors.

Albion Farm Yurt, Mylor Bridge

This lone yurt is situated in a secluded corner at the top of a southwest-facing field. The field is full of wildlife and surrounded by trees. The yurt is fully equipped for that 'back to nature' experience, with all the home comforts. Look up at the night sky through the roof light, peel back the sides to allow the air in, or snuggle up around the wood burning stove or campfire.

The villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers, and the walks in the area are probably some of Devon's hidden gems. This campsite is the only one to be found in these villages and is ideally located to explore the surrounding areas.

This is a small, friendly family-run site which is in the heart of the Welsh countryside. The beach is under a mile away and provides great views of Caernarfon Bay and the Irish Sea.

The walk to the village from this small and friendly site takes around 20 minutes. On arrival guests can explore pubs and restaurants as well as local speciality stores. Perfect for a quiet, back-to-basics stay.

This site is well positioned to explore the results of hundreds of years of history with local castles and fortifications close by. The site is set in the tranquil countryside, just a mile from the glorious Northumberland coast. The beaches of the North Northumberland Heritage Coast are a few minutes’ walk away, including Embleton Bay with its wide, golden, sandy beach and views to Dunstanburgh Castle.

 

 

Oxfordshire

Oxford Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Oxford

Just over a mile from the city centre, this site is the perfect base for visiting the beautiful university city of Oxford. Guests can easily discover the university by visiting its colleges, including Christ Church college and its cathedral. There is also the University of Oxford Botanic Garden which is a hidden treasure and a host of historic buildings to admire.

Hmmm... waterside pubs, great for a summer's evening. More suggestions; Head of the River in Oxford, The Anchor in Cambridge, The Swan in Pangbourne, The Beetle and Wedge in Moulsford, The Anchor Blue in Bosham... all very nice :)
